The SpaceDog Allocation Program
Spacedog Wines is a small-lots winery that utilizes capital and labour-intensive processes, tools and sources very low yield grapes. Our program objectives are to produce collection-worthy wines in small cuvées or lots. For this reason, our wines will always be in relatively short supply. Some wines may only ever be made in 25-50 case lots, meaning allocations of a few bottles will be made available to a small group of our customers.
The Spacedog Allocation Program is your vehicle to receive allocations of each of our wines in quantities relative to the amount of production of each cuvée.
Depending on what tier of the program you join, you will receive minimum and maximum allocations of our wines as they are bottled and prepared for availability. Some wines will be available only in certain tiers. There is no annual fee, and payment is made only when allocations are allotted for each cuvée.
Here’s how it works: The Spacedog Allocation Program operates as a tiered allocation system rather than a traditional wine club.
- Allocations are determined once wines are bottled and prepared for release, based on final production volumes and membership tier.
- Certain wines may be offered exclusively to specific tiers, while others may be available across all tiers.
- Allocation releases are not necessarily scheduled and will be announced as wines become ready for distribution.
- Each allocation will typically include both minimum and maximum purchase quantities, with the possibility of additional availability once initial member uptake is assessed. In most cases, members are expected to purchase the minimum allocation in order to maintain their tier status.
- Members may pause participation for up to two consecutive allocations. After that, their place in the program may be offered to a waitlisted member.
- If a requested tier is full at the time of sign-up, applicants will be placed in the next available lower tier and added to the waitlist for their preferred tier.
