Spacedog Wines was born of the idea that every time you open a bottle of wine, it takes you on a journey. It is about where you are and who you are with. We’re lovers of wine who understand the place wine has in our lives, appreciate the love and friendship that surrounds those social moments…but importantly take the making of wine very seriously.

Spacedog Wines is all about what is in the bottle. That is our singular focus. No corners cut.
We see ourselves as part of a global community; we respect and love the Okanagan and the uniqueness of our terroir, and admire the diversity of wines and wine producers here. However, more importantly we hold ourselves and our wines up to wines and producers from other leading wine regions. It is the only way we see ourselves able to target the quality and style of wines we wish to share with our customers and members.
Values
Everything in the bottle
Focus energy, time and capital where it matters – into making great wine. Everything else is secondary. Everything else flows from quality wine.
No corners cut
We go all in when we decide to make a wine, and commit to the work and precision required to make a particular style and quality of wine. We are quietly uncompromising.
Show gratitude at every turn
The wine industry is truly a community filled with amazing people willing to lend a helping hand. We are endlessly grateful for all of it, and do our best to return the favors and sentiment. We simply would not be successful without the help of so many others.
Share endlessly
At the core of who we are, we believe good things happen from sharing time, energy, and good food and wine.
Courage over Convention
Take risks to make great wine; if the path limits quality, we don’t take it.

Todd Heintz, Founder & CEO
CEO Todd Heintz holds a BComm from the University of Calgary and has over 30 years experience in consulting, and technology companies. Todd holds his WSET Diploma (4). Todd runs all aspects of day to day operations and perhaps more importantly forms part of our winemaking team
Todd’s wine passion outside the Okanagan leans towards the reds of the left bank of Bordeaux, the reds of the Rhone Valley, the great whites of Condrieu and the diverse rosè wines of Provence and Bandol.

Dean Prevost, Founder
Dean holds a BComm from the University, a Harvard MBA and over 30 years in consulting, telecom and orthodontic industries. Dean’s depth of experience in corporate development, strategy, finance and operations enables him to contribute broadly in all areas of the business.
Dean’s North Star wines tend towards to wines of Napa, Italy broadly, and precision-crafted white wines from around the world.

Jason Harding, Founder
Jason holds a BA in Economics and his CPA designation, with over 25 years experience in finance and accounting related roles. Jason is adept at driving precision around the business model, but contributes to operations and collaborating on product portfolio, and all aspects of the business.
Brunello di Montalcino and Okanagan wines are Jason’s sweet spot as well as Bordeaux-blend style wines broadly.

Pascal Madevon, Head Winemaker
Pascal Madevon is Spacedog’s head winemaker. Pascal needs no introduction, having been involved with some of the Okanagan’s top brands for over 25 years.
Pascal is an accomplished oenologist and viticulturalist, classically trained in Bordeaux after a life living in or around vineyards.
Pascal includes the estates of Chateau Laffitte Carcasset, Chateau la Tour Blanche, Chateau la Tour Carnet in Bordeaux and Osoyoos Larose and Culmina in the Okanagan among many others.
Pascal is incredibly well versed in the terroirs of the Okanagan and together with Todd form the winemaking team at Spacedog. As a team, it’s an alchemy of deep classic Bordeaux-style winemaking combined with pushing the envelope and innovating to pursue our stylistic and quality objectives.

Linda Bevilacqua, Chief of Staff
Linda Bevilacqua you could say is our Chief of Staff, but so much more. Linda’s vibrant and endlessly happy personality fuels our interactions with our members and customers.
However, it turns out working for 30+ years as a Dental Assistant in a sterile environment is directly relatable to working in the cellar assisting with winemaking. Linda, it turns out, has what it takes to help immensely with the winemaking. Linda holds her WSET1 and BC Wine Ambassador Level 2, and is working towards her WSET2.
Then again, with parents who owned a vineyard for over 25 years in Oliver, it shouldn’t come as a surprise.

Reggiano “Reggie”, OG Spacedog
She comes in hot like a comet, but in the end is all about licking your face off.
